Onboarding - DLCS Account Email
This article will assist you with:
- logging into your DLCS account for the first time
- registering your Secret Question and Answer
- changing your temporary password, and
- registering an additional multi-factor authentication method.
This process is suitable for staff provisioned with either @lism.catholic.edu.au (majority of DLCS staff) or @dlcsl.catholic.edu.au (DLCS Board members) email domains.
What you will need:
- Your Account Details email which contains your username and temporary password
- Internet access with an Internet browser
- a mobile device with Internet access with a personal App Store account to download a multifactor app (optional but highly recommended)
Once you have accepted your position with the DLCS or school, before your start date you will receive an email with the subject "Catholic Schools Office, Lismore - Account Details" from support@lism.catholic.edu.au
Please check your personal email provided during the application process, this can sometimes be filtered to your Junk or Spam folders.The email contains your username and temporary password you will need to complete the set up of your account.
Should your start date be close, and you have not received the email with your temporary password, please contact HR or your school staffing administrator to follow up as you will require this account to utilise the DLCS devices and systems.
Steps to register your Secret Question and Answer:

Access the User Portal https://userportal.lism.catholic.edu.au and log in with your username (not full email address, the username as provided in the email) and temporary password into the respective fields, then click Sign in:

You will then be prompted to set up a Security Question and Answer.
You will notice that your account will show as "username@lism.catholic.edu.au" which is expected even if your provisioned email is @dlcsl.catholic.edu.au as this domain is set up as an alias on the Diocese of Lismore Google infrastructure.
Click the "Set up" button and follow the onscreen steps to set up the Security Question security method
Steps to change your temporary password:
After setting up your Security Question and Answer, you should then be redirected to the User Portal. If not, access it via https://userportal.lism.catholic.edu.au

Click "Change Password":

In the Verification method drop-down, select Security Question and then provide the answer to your Security Question that you just set, and click VERIFY

Leave your username in the username field, enter your Temporary Password in the Current Password box, and then set a new password meeting the complexity requirements in the New and Retype password boxes, then click SAVE:

You should receive a "Password updated" message:
- You can now access G-Mail https://mail.google.com to access your email inbox and other services
Register an additional multi-factor authentication method:

All staff are required to set up at least two methods of multi-factor authentication with one being the Security Question.
